emmigrated from Dčurrmenz : Stadt Mčuhlacker, PF, Germany in 1753.
Note: John Amtsfield shows d., 15 OCT 1804
Note: Jeremias Chappelle was born in 1725, not in 1715 as his tombstone states. He immigrated to the United States on the ship Patience, arriving in Philadelphia on 17 September 1753. He married Catherine Rouchon, daughter of Pierre; about 1743. Catherine Rouchon died shortly after the birth of Jacob. Jeremias then married the first wife's sister Madeleine Rouchon. Jeremias then immigrated to Berks County, Pennsylvania after the birth of his daughter Madeleine, arriving in 1753. It can be assumed that his wife Madeleine immigrated with Jeremias. Her burial location is to date unknown, It is surmised that she is most likely buried in the old cemetery in the Zion's Church, Windsor Twsp, Berks Co, PA. Perhaps near the stones for Jeremias and his 3rd wife Catherine. Jeremias then married his 3rd wife, Catherine. Research to date has yet to prove a maiden name, but Phyllis Schappell believes that the name may have been Hauer

This was done to commemorate his direct descendant, a Revolutionary War Soldier, thought to have no stone at any other location. John Amtsfield indicates that Peter was probably buried in Pottsgrove, PA, but recorded in the Faulkner Swamp Reformed Church records.

Confusion surrounds spousal relationship with brothers Henry (John Henry) and Jacob (John Jacob). FSRC records show Henry married to an Anna Maria Major This Anna was known as "Maria". Suspect a relocation to Western PA after 1810. The couple may have more children.
Administrations 1784-1821: Montgomery Co, PA shows a will administered for a ROSHONG, HENRY. June 27, 1820 by Philip Reed
A Henry shows up later in Buffalo Valley according to NECROLOGY, COMMENCED BY JAMES F. LINN, Esquire, in 1826. His death date is recorded as 29 DEC 1850 as Henry Roshong.
1850 Census shows Henry, age 84 and Magdelena Roshong, age 73, living in the household of his son, William.
Brothers-in-law, John Derr (September 19, 1787) and Henry Roshon (Henry Roscrow, July 16, 1787) applied for donation lands or land grants for Revolutionary War Service from the State of Pennsylvania which were granted in the amount of 200 acres each. Normally the granting of donation land was the result of long term service in the Pennsylvania Line during the Revolution. It is a further coincidence that both John Derr and Henry Roshon settled in Union County, PA and are buried together in New Berlin
