Marching off to War

St John’s has soldiers marching off to war

Some remaining at home others going to a distant shore

Their mission is not to convert, or spread the Gospel word

It’s, intended to avert conflict and insure that freedom is heard

There are those who would like to have us think that there is only one true way

But we’ll press on to let them know that there’s more we must convey

God reveals himself in many ways accepting religious differences

He is also willing to understand troublesome selfish inferences

Of infidels and Satan references that have been heaped upon our souls

Perhaps with might and compassionate right we’ll play our critical rolls

Of bringing peace to this world again with the help of our St. John’s warriors

That would be glorious
